You will need to submit a building permit at City Hall for any out door construction, such as sidewalks, driveways, patios/decks, garages, garden sheds and any new construction.

Yes, you do need to submiting a burn permit to City Hall. You can print a permit off of the "forms" tab or pick one up at City Hall.
You only have to fill out another burn permit if you move to a different address in the town.
Yes, you do. It's is $10 for a non spayed/neutered dog and $5 for a spayed/neutered dog along with an update rabies record from your vet. You will get a tag with and ID # to put on the your dogs collar.
Cats do not need to be licensed.
Utilities
Very simple! Come to City Hall, 513 Main Street. You will need to make a deposit and need a photo ID.
The total amount you will owe for your utility bill will depend upon your energy usage during any given month.
You can call either the City Shop or Light Plant after hours and you will be connected to the "on call" employees.

Garbage gets picks up very early on Wednesday morning. We encourage you to set out your trash can on Tuesday night, making sure it is set away from the curb and cars so that the garbage truck can grab the can with the hydraulic arm to dump the can. Anything not in the garbage can will NOT be picked up.
Yes, we have green recycling bins on 5th St, east side of Fiesta Grocery Store.
The City of Mapleton excepts cash and/or checks for utility payments. Automatic deduction is also available from any local bank.
Yes, you can. You can mail or drop off your payments in person or in the drop box to the right of the front door.
We accept cash, check, or debit card. You can also call in to make a payment for Communications.
Yes, you can. A budget billing is an average of your past utilities so you can plan on paying the same amont each month. Budget bills are reviewed twice a year to adjust as needed.
